The Godley Ladycats competed in the Class 4A Division II regional finals against Dallas Lincoln on February 21, 2025, at Midlothian High School.

The Lady Tigers prevailed in the “elite eight” contest 62-41 and advanced to the state semifinal against Glen Rose.

Capturing the bi-district title on Feb. 10, the Ladycats defeated Wilmer Hutchins 65-21. The Godley girls then triumphed over Sanger 44-33 in the area round on Feb. 13 and North Lamar 37-34 in the regional semifinals on Feb. 18.

Prior to the first-round win, the GHS girls posted a perfect 12-0 district record, sweeping all district foes through both rounds of play to earn the team’s third district title in a row.

The varsity squad includes Nola Briscoe, Kase Grimsley, Lila Heiner, Presley Hindash, Bree Hubbard, Sadey Hughey, Kinlee Smith and Ava Wilson.  

Head coach Mark Chauveaux is assisted by Kristi Mayes and Skyler Warrick as well as athletic trainer Duke Graham. Team managers are Abby Hughey, Abbie Smith and Marleigh Thompson.
