Godley Ladycats faced off against Aubrey in the Class 4A area volleyball playoffs on November 3, 2023, at Saginaw Chisholm Trail High School.

The Lady Chaparrals won the hard-fought contest as both teams dueled through five sets (20-25, 25-20, 25-23, 16-25, 9-15).  Aubrey advanced to the regional quarterfinals to face Frisco Panther Creek.

In the bi-district round on Oct. 30, the GHS girls won the playoff over Eastern Hills in three-straight matches (25-5, 25-13, 25-9) at the historic Billingsley Field House in Fort Worth.

The varsity Ladycats completed a full sweep of District 10-4A volleyball play, posting a perfect 12-0 record to advance to the postseason.

The team includes Ashtin Anglin, Kytzia Cortez, Michaela Davis, Ahmari Govea, Bree Hubbard, Catrina Leverett, Baylee Mobley, Logan Reed, Trinity Roden, Brynn Staton, Bella Van Wart and Kyla Williams.  JV players moving up for the playoffs are Peyton Bower and Lila Heiner.

Head coach Courtney Hammett is assisted by Ashley Blue and Skyler Warrick, and managers are Michaela Davis and Samantha Young.
