The Godley Ladycats delivered a dominant performance to capture the regional championship with a 4-0 victory over Greenwood on March 31, 2026, at Abilene ISD’s Shotwell Stadium.

With the win, Godley advances to the Class 4A Division II state semifinals and will face Sunnyvale at 4 p.m. Friday, April 3, at Vernon Newsom Stadium in Mansfield.

The Ladycats have now secured four consecutive playoff victories, including a 5-1 bi-district win over Academy, a 3-2 area round victory against Lake Worth and a 1-0 regional semifinal win over Graham.

Finishing second in District 6-4A play, the Ladycats posted a 7-3 record to earn their postseason berth. The program continues to build on its success with multiple playoff appearances, including back-to-back bi-district championships since its inception in 2021.

The varsity Ladycats roster includes Layla Balderas, Nola Briscoe, Kaylie Fabela, Stephanie Favela, Jordyn Geesaman, Griffin Gill, Sophia Hodges, Jordyn Hutt, Makenna Jaskolowski, Eden Kelly, Arynn Long, Tayla Monchamp, Denise Ortega, Julyssa Ortiz, Kinzie Riney, Rylie Graves, Rylee Swanson and Lexi Tyler. Team captains are Rylie Graves, Lexi Tyler and Sophia Hodges.
