Godley Ladycats won the Battle of the Backbone soccer tournament on January 2-4, 2024, co-hosted by Canyon Lake High School and Wimberley High School.

The Godley High School girls posted victories over KIPP Texas-Austin 8-0, Cedar Creek 5-2, LaVernia 2-1 and co-host Canyon Lake 3-2 in the championship game.

Varsity Ladycats at the tourney include Cassie Capps, Morgan Cummings, Ryleigh Dollins, Kaylie Fabela, Stephanie Favela, Jordyn Geesaman, Griffin Gill, Rylie Graves, Sophia Hodges, Eden Kelly, Arynn Long, Gracelyn McMullen, Julyssa Ortiz, Lexi Tyler and Kyla Williams.
