The Godley Ladycats captured the District 12-4A softball title with a home win over Kennedale on April 11, 2025.  This marks the fourth district title in a row for the Godley girls.

With two games remaining in regular season action, the GHS girls are a perfect 10-0 in district standings, sweeping through both rounds of play.

In addition to the 12-1 win over Kennedale, scores during the second half of district action show the Godley varsity winning over Alvarado 13-0 on Apr. 1, Waxahachie Life 15-0 on Apr. 4, Venus 3-0 on Apr. 8.

During the first half, Ladycats bested Alvarado 17-0 on Mar. 7, Waxahachie Life 16-0 on Mar. 13, Venus 11-1 on Mar. 14, Kennedale 17-0 on Mar. 18, Ferris 12-1 on Mar. 21 and Hillsboro 20-10 on Mar. 25.

Remaining on the schedule to wrap up district play are a road matchup at Ferris on Tuesday, Apr. 15 and Hillsboro on Thursday, Apr. 17 at home.

The varsity squad includes Samantha Andersen, Sierra Beratto, Jordan Blakely, Harlee Bullard, Alyssa Castillo, Karlee Clark, Kinzlee Durham, Halle Gross, Hayden Keeton, Jaydin Riale, Alissa Sullivan, Bailee Wallis and Dakota Watson.

Head coach Rus Mayes is assisted by Kristi Mayes as well as athletic trainer Duke Graham. Team managers are Marissa Bethel and Saleece Hill.
