The Godley High School girls golf team captured the championship of the Iredell Dragon Invitational on February 24, 2025, at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose. 

With two of the top three golfers in the one-day tourney, the Ladycat posted a team score of 485 to best second-place Huckabay by seven strokes.

Makinley DeFoor and Ryleigh Hillis, an individual medalist, led the Godley girls with scores of 108 and 109 to place second and third individually.  Other team members were Kaidynce Haws (115), Karly Gomez (124), Britton Everroad (138) and Lucy Payne (138).

Competing in the boys division, the Wildcats finished with a team score of 409.  The squad included Austin Merritt (90), Dax Tanksley (97), Ben Brannum (107), Landon DeLeon (115) and Logan Babbitt (124).

Godley golf coach is Jason Hill.
