The Godley High School girls golf team captured the championship of the Iredell Invitational on February 27, 2023, at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose. 

With the top two golfers in the one-day tourney, the Ladycat posted a team score of 444 to best second-place Oglesby by 60 strokes.

Kelsey Harris and Emma Tyus led the GHS squad with scores of 104 and 108 to place first and second individually.  Other team members were Bailee Barbaro (116), Dallas Lane (116) and Marleigh Thompson (119). 

Competing as medalists were Delaney Coym (111), Alyssa Hallack (117) and Madelynne Fitzgerald (125).

Competing in the boys division, the Wildcats placed fourth with a team finish of 434. Squad members were Max Blair (97), John Johnson (103), Dax Tanksley, Wyatt Burke (119) and Camden Darder (119).
