The Godley Ladycats captured a Class 4A bi-district basketball title with a 71-17 victory over Fort Worth Western Hills on February 12, 2024, at Burleson Centennial High School.

The team advances to face either Frisco Panther Creek or Summit International Prep in the area round to be played Feb. 15-17.

The GHS girls posted a perfect 12-0 district record, sweeping all district foes through both rounds of play to earn the team’s second district title in a row.

The varsity squad includes Lexi Abbott, Payton DeFoor, Bree Hubbard, Alyssa Jimenez, Logan Reed, Trinity Roden, Kinlee Smith, Reese Tennery and Ava Wilson.  Junior varsity players joining the varsity for the playoffs are Nola Briscoe, Kase Grimsley, Lila Heiner, Sophia Hodges and Sadey Hughey.

Head coach Mark Chauveaux is assisted by Kristi Mayes and Skyler Warrick as well as athletic trainer Duke Graham. Team managers are Bailee Barbaro, Taylor Hayes, Ava Slidell and Marleigh Thompson.
