Godley Ladycats earned a spot in the Class 4A girls soccer postseason after a 3-0 victory over Alvarado on March 7, 2025.

Finishing in second place, the GHS girls posted a 7-3 record in District 6 to advance to the playoffs. This marks the team’s fourth playoff appearance since starting the soccer program in 2021.

In addition to the win over Alvarado, the team beat Venus following a shootout after a 2-2 tie during regulation play on Feb. 21 and then fell to Waxahachie Life 7-0 on Feb. 25.  Godley went on to beat Ferris 2-0 on Feb. 28, Kennedale 2-0 on Mar. 4 and then Alvarado in the district finale.

During the first half of district action, the Ladycats started with two losses - 1-0 to Venus on Feb. 4 and 3-1 to Waxahachie Life on Feb. 7.   The GHS girls bested Ferris in a shootout following a scoreless tie on Feb. 11 and then shutout Kennedale 8-0 on Feb. 14 and Alvarado 7-0 on Feb. 17.

For the Class 4A Division II bi-district playoff round, Godley will face the Gatesville Hornets from District 5.  The game is set for 5 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 21 at China Spring High School.
