The Godley Ladycats opened the postseason in dominant fashion, defeating Dallas Carter 15-0 in a Class 4A Division II bi-district playoff game on April 23, 2026, at the Godley High School softball field.

With the victory, the Ladycats advance to the area round and will face Krum Ladycats in a best-of-three series. Game 1 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, at 6:30 p.m. at the GHS softball field. Game 2 will be Friday, May 1, at 5 p.m. at Krum High School. If needed, Game 3 will follow Game 2.

Godley enters the next round after another historic regular season. The Ladycats captured their fifth consecutive district championship with an undefeated district record. The program has now won 51 consecutive district games and compiled a 56-4 record over the past six seasons.

The varsity roster includes Emerie Brawner, Brooklyn Branum, Harlee Bullard, Karlee Clark, Kinzlee Durham, Halle Gross, Hayden Keeton, Savannah Ortega, Tatum Peacock, Katie Ponce, Jaydin Riale, Bayleigh Richardson, Bella Salmeron and Alissa Sullivan.

The team is led by head coach Rus Mayes and assistant coach Kristi Mayes. Team managers are Marissa Bethell and Saleece Hill.
