Godley High School senior Bree Hubbard announced plans to continue playing basketball in college during a signing ceremony on February 26, 2025.

The GHS senior is headed to Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where the Tigers compete in NCAA Division II as part of the Great American Conference.

Hubbard earned all-state honors from the Texas Girls Coaches Association the past two seasons.  She also received regional accolades from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches for those seasons.

Setting new individual milestones with the Ladycat varsity basketball team - 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds - Hubbard accomplished something no other player has achieved in school history, according to head coach Mark Chauveaux.

Hubbard helped the girls basketball team reach the Class 4A Division II regional finals this season.  A standout on the regional semifinalist Ladycat volleyball team, the GHS senior was a first-team all-district pick the past two years and earned newcomer of the year honors in 2022 as a sophomore.  A multi-sport athlete, Hubbard also competes on the school’s softball, golf and track teams.
