Godley Ladycat softball players Saniya Hill and Cadence Chambliess earned All-State accolades from the Texas Sports Writers Association for the 2024 season.

The two graduates with the Godley High School Class of 2024 were both named to all-state teams, with Hill on the third team and Chambliess as honorable mention.

Hill was the District 10-4A most valuable player.  She was also named a top performer with the 2023 USA Softball High Performance Program and earned all-state honors from the Texas Girls Coaches Association.

Chambliess was the district offensive most valuable player.  As a junior, she was named district MVP and claimed a spot on the TSWA All-State list. 

Hill will be playing at the University of Missouri, while Chambliess is headed to Murray State College.

For the 2024 season, the Godley girls compiled a perfect 10-0 district record for a third consecutive district championship.  The Ladycats advanced to the second round of the postseason with a bi-district win over Fort Worth Carter-Riverside.  The GHS girls fell to Frisco Panther Creek in the area playoff series.
