Godley ISD gifted and talented students in grades 1-6 thrived through exploration and challenges at Camp El Tesoro on September 22-24, 2023.

Students explored their full potential as they worked on their communication, cooperation, and perseverance skills, according to GT coordinator Jennifer Camp. Some of the favorite activities of the campers were canoeing, kayaking, and the high-ropes challenge course.  

Thirty-three students attended the day camp, while 28 stayed at the camp for the overnight program.

Camp Fire Camp El Tesoro is a 223-acre multi-use camp established in 1934 and accredited by the American Camp Association located in Granbury on the bend of the Brazos River at Fall Creek.  Programs let campers use their curiosity as their guide to explore nature, to challenge themselves, and to develop confidence through building new skills.
