Godley ISD gifted and talented students in grades 1-6 took learning to new heights at Camp El Tesoro from October 24-26, 2025.

From canoeing and kayaking to tackling the high-ropes challenge course, students embraced adventure while developing critical skills in creativity, communication, teamwork, and resilience. “Campers weren’t just having fun—they were exploring their potential, solving problems, and building confidence in ways that will stay with them long after camp,” said GT Coordinator Jennifer Camp.

The 223-acre Camp Fire Camp El Tesoro, nestled on the bend of the Brazos River at Fall Creek in Granbury, has been inspiring curiosity and growth since 1934. Accredited by the American Camp Association, the camp offers programs designed to help students explore nature, challenge themselves, and discover new skills in a safe, supportive environment.

Students returned energized, empowered and ready to apply what they learned in the classroom and beyond.
