Godley High School tennis players are headed to the next round after a standout performance at the District 12-4A Tennis Tournament, held March 30 and April 2, 2026, at Alvarado High School.

The Wildcats produced multiple regional qualifiers, earned several medal finishes and captured the district junior varsity team championship.

Leading the varsity results, Blake Weeg and Ivan Pallares claimed silver medals in boys doubles to secure a berth at the Region II-4A Tennis Tournament. Presley Hindash and Kennedy Black matched that feat in girls doubles, also earning silver medals and advancing to regionals.

Reagan DeLeon and Barrett Anderson added to Godley’s medal haul with a bronze-medal finish in mixed doubles.

Godley’s success continued in the junior varsity tournament, where the Wildcats dominated boys singles by sweeping the top three spots. Wyatt Jones won the district title, followed by Aiden Pnapasa in second and Bear Riley in third.

Barron Rogers and Bailen Brannum also captured first place in boys doubles.

The Wildcats’ depth and consistency throughout the tournament helped secure the District 12-4A JV Team Championship.

Godley’s regional qualifiers will compete at the Region II-4A Tennis Tournament on April 20-21 at Tyler Junior College.
