Four Godley High School Jazz Band students qualified for all-region ensembles during auditions on September 17, 2024, at Lake Worth High School.

Qualifying for the Region 5/30 ATSSB All-Region Jazz Band are Haven Bryson (tenor saxophone), Gavin Jorgensen (trumpet), Julia Roy (trumpet) and Kannon Ward (drum set).  Roy, who qualified the past two years, made the honor band and earned a spot in the area auditions.

These students were among 15 from Godley participating in the competition, which included 186 students from throughout the region.  Other Godley auditioners included Bella Atwood, Miley Cassio, Raul Garcia, John Gillard, Aiden Hart, James Hornbeck, Ailea Martinez, Jaziel Martinez, Jeremy Martinez, Isabelle Ortega and Zachary Waits.

The region clinic is set for Nov. 18-19 at Lake Worth High School, with the concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

The students are led by GHS percussion and jazz band director David Kennedy.
