Godley High School Jazz Band students were honored by Godley ISD school board trustees on November 27, 2023.

Qualifying for the Region 5/30 ATSSB All-Region Jazz Band were Hunter Hardin (bass guitar), Cooper Holzheuser (electric guitar), Julia Roy (trumpet) and Ilana Villa (piano).  All four placed first with their respective instruments and advanced to area tryouts, which were held on Sept. 26 at Springtown High School.

Holzheuser and Roy both made the region ensemble last year.

The region clinic and concert is set for Jan. 12-13 at Kennedale High School.

The students are led by GHS percussion and jazz band director David Kennedy.
