The Texas Education Agency has released preliminary 2026 accountability ratings for public school districts and campuses across the state. Godley ISD received a preliminary overall rating of C with a score of 77, while individual campus ratings ranged from C to B.
Godley High School received a preliminary B rating with a score of 80. Godley Middle School and Pleasant View Elementary each received a C with a score of 78, Legacy Elementary received a C with a score of 76, and R.B. Godley Elementary received a C with a score of 71.
While there are areas of progress reflected in the preliminary results, the district's overall rating is not where we want or expect to be. Our focus remains on continued academic improvement across Godley ISD, using these results and other student performance data to identify successes and areas where additional focus and support are needed.
Encouraging indicators
Pleasant View Elementary showed strength in student growth, earning a B in School Progress with a score of 80. The campus also earned two distinction designations for academic achievement in mathematics and science.
Other encouraging indicators include:
- Godley High School earned an overall B, including B ratings in Student Achievement and Closing the Gaps. The campus also posted a 97.6% graduation rate.
- Godley Middle School earned a B in Student Achievement with a score of 80.
Ratings remain preliminary
District and campus administrators are reviewing the underlying accountability data, including academic growth, attendance and other measures. That review may result in appeals to TEA before ratings are finalized later this fall.
Regardless of the final ratings, our focus is on improvement. Godley ISD administrators and teachers are using the results to build on areas of success, address areas needing additional attention and strengthen instruction and support for students.
