Godley ISD named several new assistant principals beginning in the 2025-26 school year. The school district made the announcement on May 20, 2025.
Joining Godley High School are Letitia McCasland as associate principal and Kristin Armstrong as assistant principal. McCasland is currently assistant principal at Pleasant View Elementary School, and Armstrong is a teacher at Godley Middle School.
McCasland is a long-time educator, beginning in 1993 teaching first grade in Schulenburg. She later taught second and seventh grades in Brady and also completed a guidance and counseling internship in Granbury. Coming to Godley in 2015, she started as a math intervention teacher at Godley Intermediate School before becoming assistant principal in 2018. McCasland moved to the new Pleasant View Elementary School as assistant principal in 2022. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and a master’s degree in education, guidance and counseling from Sul Ross State University.
Armstrong has taught at GMS since 2015, leading eighth grade classes on career exploration and also seventh grade science while also sponsoring National Junior Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the UIL academic team. She previously taught third grade at Poynter Elementary School in Crowley. A Cleburne native, Armstrong earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of North Texas.
Erin Devillier, a fifth grade teacher at Pleasant View, is moving to GMS as assistant principal. Starting in Godley in 2017 as a pre-kindergarten and special education aide, she has taught either fifth or sixth grade since 2018. Devillier is from Hamilton and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kaplan University with an emphasis on child development. She later earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Currently an emergent bilingual lead specialist in Cleburne ISD, Jennifer Gaston will be the new assistant principal at Pleasant View. She began her educational career in 2005 as a kindergarten teacher and also taught first grade and third grade before moving into her latest assignment in 2016. Gaston twice earned campus teacher of the year honors and was named the Cleburne district teacher of the year for the 2020-21 school year. She holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Tarleton State University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Grand Canyon University.
Jennifer Jenkins will be joining the campus administration at R.B. Godley Elementary School. She is currently assistant principal and special education coordinator at Joy James Academy of Leadership and Special Programs in Castleberry. She previously was assistant principal at North Elementary STEAM Academy in White Settlement. Starting her educational career in 2007, she was a life skills teacher in Burleson, where she was named middle school teacher of the year for the 2013-14 school year. She later was an instructional lead and ARD facilitator and special services coordinator before becoming an administrator in 2021. Jenkins holds a bachelor’s degree in musical liberal arts and music therapy from Texas Woman’s University and a master’s degree in special education from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
