Godley ISD District Teachers of the Year Erica Massey and Ember Courtroul were honored during the Region 11 Education Service Center Teacher of the Year Awards Banquet on July 30, 2026, at The Worthington Renaissance in downtown Fort Worth.

Massey, a second grade teacher at R.B. Godley Elementary School, was named the 2026 Godley ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year. Courtroul, an English language arts (ELA) teacher at Godley Middle School, was selected as the district’s Secondary Teacher of the Year.

The annual banquet celebrated outstanding educators from school districts throughout the Region 11 area and recognized their dedication to students, schools and communities.

Joining Massey and Courtroul at the celebration were R.B. Godley Elementary Principal Jaclyn Trussell, former Godley Middle School Principal Stephanie Wynne and Godley ISD Superintendent Dr. Rich Dear.

“Erica and Ember exemplify the commitment, passion and excellence that define Godley ISD educators,” Dear said. “We are proud of the meaningful impact they make in the lives of their students and grateful to see them honored alongside exceptional teachers from across our region.”

Massey and Courtroul were selected as the district’s top educators after first being named Teachers of the Year at their respective campuses. Their recognition reflects their dedication to student learning, strong relationships and service to the Godley ISD community.
