HOSA Future Health Professionals

Several Godley High School students in HOSA–Future Health Professionals have advanced to the Area 5 Spring Leadership Conference after excelling in their preliminary online testing.

Students took Round 1 online exams in their events and, by placing in the top three or top 10 in Area 5 (depending on the event), qualified to advance to Round 2 skill demonstrations this spring, according to GHS sponsor Cheryl Mitchell.

Other competitors will automatically advance to the Area 5 or state conference based on their event requirements, as some HOSA categories do not include online testing or a second competitive round.

HOSA students compete against peers from across the region in future healthcare career fields such as respiratory therapy, sports medicine, nursing assisting and more. Top performers at the area level move on to state competition and may ultimately qualify for the HOSA International Leadership Conference.

Godley High School results include:

  • Medical Law and Ethics: Caylee Price
  • Nursing Assisting: Kinlee Smith
  • Physical Therapy: Sydnee Applegate
  • Respiratory Therapy: Reagan Wood
  • Sports Medicine: Oscar Enriquez

The Area 5 Spring Leadership Conference is set for January 16–17, 2026, in Killeen.
