Godley High School’s HOSA–Future Health Professionals chapter completed three successful blood drives during the 2025–2026 school year, making a meaningful impact on the community while earning recognition at both the state and international levels.

The student-led blood drives were held throughout the school year, with students leading efforts in donor recruitment, event logistics and community outreach.

• Sept. 25, 2025 — 66 donors, 53 units collected
• March 2, 2026 — 51 donors, 49 units collected
• April 30, 2026 — 53 donors, 52 units collected

In total, the drives resulted in 170 donors and 154 units of blood collected.

Through these efforts, the Godley HOSA chapter earned Bronze Level Recognition at the Texas HOSA State Leadership Conference in March and is on track to receive Silver Level Recognition at the HOSA International Leadership Conference this summer.

In addition, the chapter will receive a $1,000 grant from Carter BloodCare to support future blood drive initiatives during the 2026–2027 school year.

HOSA is a global, student-led organization that empowers future health professionals to develop leadership skills and promote community service through health-related initiatives. The success of these blood drives reflects the dedication of Godley students to serving others and making a real-world impact beyond the classroom.
