Godley High School captured first and second place with both boys and girls teams at the District 12-4A tournament on March 30-April 1, 2025, at Mansfield National Golf Club. 

The boys scored 633 (314-319) to best all district squads at the district tourney.  The team swept the top five individual places led by Max Blair (78-76=154, first), Jaxon Hill (78-78=156, second), Kyle Black (81-80-161), Grant Lawson (79-83=162) and Tripp Karnes (79-88=167).

Also capturing the district title, the Ladycats placed first with a team score of 772 (377-395).  Marleigh Thomson (92-94) and Maddie Fizgerald (97-89) tied for first with scores of 186.  Tying for third place were Carmen Galofaro (94-106) and Sady Williams (94-106) at 200.  Also on the team was Bree Hubbard (99-111=210).

For the boys, a second team took the runner-up trophy at 765 (374-391).  The squad included JD Johnson (81-90=171), Austin Merritt (84-94=178), Mason Merritt (100-99=199), Landon DeLeon (109-108=217) and Dax Tanksley (114-105=219).

A second Godley girls squad (434-447=881) also won second at the tournament led by fifth-place player Ryleigh Hillis (102-103=205).  Other team members were Makinley DeFoor (113-104=217), Jimena Jimenez (103-116=219), Lucy Payne (116-124=240) and Karly Gomez (122-123=245).

Competing individually as medalists were:

• Boys: Benjamin Brannum (107-104=211), Logan Babbitt (119-118=237)
• Girls:  Abbie Smith (128-126=254), Hadlee Taylor (135-128=263), Raelyn Revland (145-134=279)

All teams advance to the Region II-4A tournament at Van Zandt Country Club in Canton. The girls tourney is Apr. 14-15 followed by the boys on Apr. 16-17.
