Godley High School inducted 24 students into the National Honor Society during its annual ceremony held April 28, 2026, recognizing excellence in scholarship, leadership, service and character.

The ceremony welcomed a new group of members into the prestigious organization while also recognizing graduating senior members for their achievements and contributions.

Selection for the National Honor Society is based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service and character. Students must maintain a high cumulative grade point average and receive faculty recommendations. Membership not only recognizes students’ accomplishments but also challenges them to grow through active involvement in school activities and community service.

Each member is required to complete service hours within the community, and the group regularly supports a variety of community organizations and school events.

Founded in 1921, the National Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than an honor roll, NHS honors students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, service and character—principles that have defined the organization since its inception.
