Godley High School celebrated Tarleton Day on November 6, 2024, with 27 students accepted to the state university as part of the school’s partnership program.
With an additional at least five students previously accepted to Tarleton State University, that makes a total of 32 students in the Class of 2025 who have applied and received acceptance to the Division I college in Stephenville.
Representatives from various departments and academic colleges were available to speak with students, who received assistance and information regarding admission, housing, financial aid and scholarships as well as student activities and organizations.
Godley ISD is a member of Tarleton’s Distinguished High School Partnership Program, which offers automatic admission with no required ACT or SAT scores for students in the top half of each graduating class. The university also allots scholarships for GHS graduates and provides ongoing support for financial aid, admissions and degree counseling as well as work study and peer mentorships.
GHS offers dual enrollment courses through the Tarleton Today program. Current offerings include American literature, English composition, college algebra, animal science and agricultural economics.
