Godley High School golf teams dominated with first- and second-place teams at a district preview tournament on March 26, 2025, at Mansfield National Golf Club. Both teams also posted the top three individual players.

The Ladycat Purple squad captured the tourney championship led by first-place winner Carmen Galofaro, who shot a low score of 91.  Other squad members were Marleigh Thompson (99), Maddie Fitzgerald (102), Sady Williams (102) and Bree Hubbard (107).

For the Ladycat Gold team, the second-place squad included Makinley DeFoor (97, second), Ryleigh Hillis (99, third), Jimena Jimenez (104), Karly Gomez (112) and Abbie Smith (125).

Competing in the boys division, the Wildcat Purple squad were the top team and the top three individuals - Grant Lawson (76, first), Tripp Karnes (78, second) and Jaxon Hill (81, third).  Also playing were Kyle Black (82) and Max Blair (86).

The Wildcat Gold team was second overall with squad members Austin Merritt (84), JD Johnson (90), Dax Tanksley (92) and Landon DeLeon (100).

Merritt carded a hole-in-one on the 18th hole during the tourney.

Both teams will be back at the Mansfield course for the District 12-4A tournament on Mar. 31 and Apr. 1.
