Eighty-four Godley FFA members from Godley High School and Godley Middle School received Greenhand Degrees during a ceremony on October 11, 2025, at Godley High School.

Welcoming the honorees were 2025-26 chapter officers: president Lila Heiner, vice president Tucker Clark, secretary Klara Pinkerton, treasurer Logan Wilson, reporter Campbell Armstrong, sentinel Nola Briscoe and parliamentarian Taryn Franks.

To receive the Greenhand Degree, FFA members must be enrolled in their first year of agricultural science for high school credit, have satisfactory plans for a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) program, and demonstrate an understanding of the history and purpose of FFA.

Additionally, members must:

• Learn and explain the FFA Creed, Mission and Motto, and FFA salute.
   
• Describe and explain the meaning of the FFA emblem and colors.
   
• Demonstrate an understanding of the FFA Code of Ethics and proper use of the FFA jacket.
   
• Understand the history of the organization, chapter constitution and bylaws, and the Program of Activities.
   
• Own or have access to the Official FFA Manual and Official FFA Student Handbook.
   
• Submit a written application for the Greenhand FFA Degree.
