Twenty-five Godley FFA students at Godley High School and Godley Middle School received Greenhand Degrees during the chapter meeting on October 18, 2022.
Students are either GHS ninth graders or GMS eighth graders: Bailey Block, Tucker Clark, Aliyah Conn, Kaegan Carter, Mackenzie Crawford, Addison Giles, Karly Gomez, Ava Jackson, Glenn Leevy, Brayden Lucas, Jason Neal, Klara Pinkerton, Rylie Robertson, Joseph Rodriquez, Langston Roy, Ryann Russell, Brecken Sage, Cheyenne Stewart, Emma Stucks, Abbi Taylor, Jazlynn Vasquez, AJ Welch, Emma Wilkes, Emily Wyss, Samantha Young.
To receive the Greenhand Degree. FFA members must be enrolled in their first year of high school credit agricultural science, have satisfactory plans for a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) program, and demonstrate understanding of the history and purpose of FFA.
In addition, members must meet the following requirements:

learn and explain the FFA Creed, FFA Mission and Motto, and FFA salute

describe and explain the meaning of the FFA emblem and FFA colors

demonstrate an understanding of the FFA Code of Ethics and the proper use of the FFA jacket

demonstrate an understanding of the history of the organization, the chapter constitution and bylaws and the chapter Program of Activities

own or have access to the Official FFA Manual and the Official FFA Student Handbook

submit a written application for the Greenhand FFA Degree
