A Godley FFA team placed third at the Bridgeport FFA Build-Off on December 12, 2022.
The Godley High School group including Kane Albee, Keegan Bohannon and Peyton Haws constructed a rocket stove in a four-hour period after receiving materials and plans.
The purpose of a build-off contest in agricultural engineering is to simulate real-world working conditions found on any construction job site where metal fabrication and safe working skills are required.
Supervising the students was GHS agricultural science teacher Lloyd Pinkerton.
