Godley FFA student leaders were highlighted at the Chisholm Trail District convention on April 17, 2024, at Joshua High School.
Lila Heiner, a sophomore, was elected district president, leading the 18 schools and 4,505 FFA members in the Chisholm Trail District comprising Hill, Hood, Johnson and Somervell Counties. Chapters included in the district are Alvarado, Blum, Burleson, Burleson Centennial, Cleburne, Cornerstone Christian, Covington, Glen Rose, Godley, Granbury, Grandview, Itasca, Joshua, Lipan, North Central Texas Academy, Rio Vista, Tolar and Venus.
Caitlyn White, a junior, was named an Area VIII officer candidate. The area consists of 91 schools and 17,520 FFA members in five districts: Bosque River, Blackland, Chisholm Trail, Sandy Land and Heart O’ Texas.

Voting delegates from Godley at the district convention were Nola Briscoe, Makenna Carter, Keagan Carter, Tucker Clark, Aliya Conn, Alex Duran, Alberto Diaz, Taryn Franks, Ava Jackson, Dominic Macedonia, Klara Pinkerton, Ryanne Russell and Logan Wilson.
The Area VIII convention will be held on May 10 at McLennan Community College in Waco.
