Godley FFA students continued a strong year of success at the Area VIII FFA Convention held May 4, 2026, at Joshua High School.

A highlight of the event was Klara Pinkerton advancing to the state level in the Sheep Production Proficiency competition.

Students also earned recognition in Speaking Development Events.

Seven Godley FFA members also earned advancement to the state level by qualifying for the Lone Star Degree, the highest honor awarded to Texas FFA members. Those students include Kaegan Carter, Tucker Clark, Dominic Masidonio, Klara Pinkerton, Emma Stuck, AJ Welch and Cheyenne Williams. They will be recognized at the Texas FFA State Convention, scheduled for July 6-10 in Fort Worth.

Tucker Clark was elected to serve as an Area VIII officer.

Godley FFA was represented by 13 voting delegates who demonstrated leadership, professionalism and dedication throughout the convention. Those delegates include Allyson Ainsworth, Dylan Brown, Cannon Carter, Evan Culbertson, Keeley De Leon, Hayden Flood, Madison Fry, Sonnet Grier, Canden Hinton, Ava Jackson, Bear Lynch, Je’nessa Melgoza and Milo Norr.
