Godley FFA members showcased their skills at the Chisholm Trail District’s Leadership Development Events (LDE) competition on November 12, 2025, at Cleburne High School.

Advancing to the area level are three teams - the champion Greenhand Skills team and the reserve champion Agricultural Advocacy and Greenhand Quiz teams.  Overall, the chapter earned third place in the sweepstakes competition.

“We are incredibly proud of our 13 teams and 4 students who competed and showcased their dedication and hard work,” the sponsors said.  “A special congratulations to our 3 teams advancing to area.”

Godley results were:

• Agricultural Advocacy:  Reserve Champions - Tucker Clark, Taryn Franks, Lila Heiner and Klara Pinkerton
• Greenhand Chapter Conducting:  3rd Place - Aiiyanna Cantrell, Callie Devillier, Allison Henderson, Valerie Oviedo, Kolton Pinkerton, Makenna Robinson, Piper Sosebee and Peyton Tanksley
• Greenhand Creed:  Piper Sosebee
• Greenhand Quiz:  Reserve Champions - Jayden Hutt (8th place individual), Jonathan Ivy (2nd place individual), Tiphanie Miller and Kolton Pinkerton (6th place individual)
• Greenhand Skills:  Champions - Landry Kamm, Je’Nessa Melgoza, Jade Neyman and Branding Reo
• Greenhand Spanish Creed:  3rd Place - Ariel Marin Gudiel

• Radio Broadcasting:  3rd Place - Bear Lynch, Isabella Salmeron and AJ Welch
• Senior Chapter Conducting:  3rd Place - Allyson Ainsworth, Evan Culbertson, Bradley Fancher, Hayden Flood, Camden Hinton, Zane Simmons and Dakota Wilmot

• Senior Quiz:  4th Place - Nola Briscoe, Hayden Flood (3rd place individual), Klara Pinkerton and Zane Simmons
• Senior Skills:  5th Place - Jordan Hutt, Ava Jackson, Porter Martin and Zach White

LDEs challenge students to demonstrate public speaking, decision-making, communication skills and knowledge of agriculture and the FFA organization. Both team and individual competitions reinforce lessons from the agricultural science classroom.

The Area VIII competition is Friday, Nov. 21, at Waxahachie High School.
