Godley High School varsity dance team members won a Platinum Sweepstakes Award at the Danceline USA’s Classic State Championship on February 24, 2024, at Weatherford High School.  

In addition to the sweepstakes honors, the team earned Best in Category Awards for both pom and open routines, while the officer trio won the Best in Category Award.

A top 10 soloist, team captain Dakota Jones received the Anita Jefferson Conley Award named in honor of Danceline founder who was an Apache Bell and then a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader. The honor goes to the performer who best represents their team.

Earning superior Division I ratings were soloists Kaidyne Haws, Kenzie Hillis, Jayln Hix and Dakota Jones.  Hix and Jones also received a superior rating for a duet routine.

The team is led by captain Dakota Jones, co-captain Kenzie Hillis and lieutenant Kaidynce Haws.  Other team members are Jalyn Hix, Paola Morales, Kanon Negro, Siria Rubio, Destinee Todey and Delilah Valles.
