Godley High School cheerleaders placed second among Class 4A schools at the 3rd Annual McKinney Spirit Championship on December 9, 2023, at McKinney Boyd High School.

The competition featured University Interscholastic League skill restrictions and experienced judges with a finals-style performance format. Each performance included band chant, situational response, crowd leading and fight song.

UIL State Championship is scheduled for Jan. 4-6 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
