Godley High School returned from Universal Cheerleaders Association summer camp with multiple awards. The camp was held May 29-June 1, 2025, at Texas A&M University in College Station.
The team earned a gold superior ribbon for game day rally evaluation, a blue superior ribbon for camp routine evaluation and the UCA Top Banana Spirit Award. Overall, the squad placed second with its camp routine.
Wacky the Wildcat, the cheer mascot, won a blue superior ribbon for performance evaluation, a red ribbon for spirit walk evaluation and the Mascot Spirit Champion Award.
Five girls were selected as All-American: Peyton Bower, Brooke Gallagher, Marleigh Thompson, Paola Valenzuela, Sady Williams. Sonnet Grier, the mascot, was also chosen as All-American.
Paola Valenzuela and Saylor Pahanish both receive Pin It Forward recognition for a standard of excellence for standout qualities like leadership, kindness and teamwork.
