Godley High School returned from Universal Cheerleaders Association summer camp with multiple awards. The camp was held July 18-21, 2023, at Texas State University in San Marcos.

The team earned first-place honors for both camp routine and sideline cheer along with two superior blue evaluation ribbons and two superior blue mascot evaluation ribbons.

Five girls were selected as All-American:  Peyton Bower, Brooke Gallagher, Katie Ponce, Catherine Whitfield and Sady Williams.  Two - Gallagher and Whitfield - received Pin-it-Forward recognition.

The 2023-24 cheer squad is led by captain Abbey Mathis and co-captain Catherine Whitfield. Others are Peyton Bower, Cale Broyles, Mackenzie Crawford, Meredith Eurton, Britton Everroad, Brooke Gallagher, Raelyn Revland, Taylour Lewis, Sarah Payne, Katie Ponce, Marleigh Thompson and Sady Williams.  Harlee Bullard is the mascot.  Managers are Amiya Edwards and Faith Hughes.
