The Godley boys golf team finished ninth in the UIL Class 4A State Golf Tournament after a strong closing round at Legends Golf Course on Lake LBJ in Kingsland on April 27-28, 2026.

Godley improved on Day 2 with a team score of 324 after opening the tournament with a 333 on Day 1. The Wildcats’ two-day total of 657 moved them into ninth place in the final standings.

Godley was led by Jaxon Hill, who finished with a 161 after rounds of 81 and 80.

The state tournament appearance capped another successful season for the Wildcats, who advanced through district and regional competition to earn a spot among the top Class 4A teams in Texas.

The Godley girls golf team will compete in the UIL Class 4A State Golf Tournament on May 4-5 at the same course.
