Godley High School varsity and junior varsity boys captured first-place trophies at Zephyr High School’s cross country invitational on September 4, 2024.

The varsity boys placed first among 12 teams and 101 runners, while the JV squad won the top spot in a field of five teams and 56 boys. 

Cy Tennery (17:50), Jonah Wood (18:05) and Ryan Jones (18:13) took second, third and fourth to help the Wildcats take the team trophy in the 5k run.  Brayden Brantley (18:41) and Wyatt Cheek (18:51) also finished in the top ten.  Others running were Angel Montalvo, Jaxon Hill, Landon Bell, Cameron Rosser and Noah Demetres.

Among the junior varsity runners, Shawn Warren (19:56) won first place, with Brandon Teal (20:41) finishing third.  Others on the team were Jaycob Covey, Jhayden Nays, Kovey Peacock, Adidlas Kazouh, Ben Rosser, JD Johnson, Axel Reynaud, Jason Neal, Ryan McFarland, Michael Swanson, Blake Weeg and Brody Rogers.

Godley boys cross country coach is Jason Hill.
