Godley High School varsity and junior varsity boys captured first-place trophies at Keene High School’s cross country invitational on August 27, 2025, at Rex Calicott Park.

The varsity boys placed first among 21 teams and 161 runners, while the JV squad won the top spot in a field of five teams and 60 boys. 

Cy Tennery (17:31.91) was the top Wildcat, placing second individually, while Landon Bell (18:35.12, 10th) and Jaxon Hill (19:00.37, 12th) helped lead the squad.  Other varsity runners were Aharon Green, Camden Riney, Cameron Rosser, Kevin Maldonado and Sean Warren.

Among the junior varsity runners, Dylan Mourning (20:42.96) won second place, with Victor Arvizu (22:12.42, seventh), Jack Blocker (22:25.50, ninth) and Acey Hawkins (22:27.33, 10th) finishing among the top ten.  Also on the team were Adidlas Kazouh, Brody Rogers, Christian Lewis, Zion Johnson, Noah Demetres, Keaton Wortham and Brandon Teal.
