Godley High School basketball players are already making history, reaching major milestones just weeks into the 2025 season.

Senior Kinlee Smith surpassed the 1,000-point mark in her varsity career during the Ladycats’ 41-22 tournament victory over El Paso Chapin on Dec. 6 at Lipan High School. Smith’s scoring milestone highlights her impact as a four-year contributor to the Ladycat program.

On the boys side, sophomore Coby Ball set a new school record by knocking down 12 three-pointers in a non-district matchup against Fort Worth Carter Riverside on Dec. 2. Ball finished with 40 points as the Wildcats rolled to an 86-22 win over the Eagles.

The Ladycats are led by head coach Mark Chauveaux, with assistant coaches Kristi Mayes and Skyler Warrick. The Wildcats are coached by Jason Hill, with assistants Terry Smith and Austin Smith.
