
Godley Middle School theater arts students competed in the UIL one-act play contest with the stage production In the Forests of the Night on February 12, 2026, at Stephenville High School.
Receiving All-Star cast honors was Milah Perez, with honorable mention recognition awarded to Caleb Sargent and Valerie Smith. Troupe member Elizabeth “Grey” McMullen earned an Outstanding Technician award.

Rounding out the cast were Lily Ashworth, Callie Branham, Jade Crutsinger, Andrea Gonzalez, Natalia Macias, Sophie Malbasa, Lauren Pedigo, Grant Prunty, Kattleya Rojas, Liam Schott and Emma Watkins.
Crew members were Ariiyana Cantrell, stage manager; Sophie Malbasa, assistant stage manager; Elizabeth “Grey” McMullen, costume designer, prop designer and sound designer; Barrett Huffer, light designer; and Andrew Chaillie, run crew.
The production was directed by GMS theater teacher Jennifer Hughes.
The play, written by Del Martin, centers on 13 students compelled by their dreams to play a mysterious game in the woods to keep a monster at bay.
A Godley Friends & Family Night performance is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 23, at 6 p.m. in the GMS cafeteria.
