Eighteen Godley Middle School students were selected for All-Region Band ensembles during auditions on November 12, 2022, at GMS.

“We are so proud of them and for all of the students who went through the audition process this past Saturday,” commented GMS band director Michelle Slayton. “This was their first regional audition experience, and they did a fantastic job!”

Honor band members include Brandon Teal, who is first-chair tuba.  Others in the honors group are Jaziel Martinez (7th chair French horn) and Lesley Rodriguez (14th chair clarinet).

For the Symphonic Band, selected were:

• Riley Bax, 2nd chair bass clarinet

• Reagan Brooks, 1st chair euphonium

• Haven Bryson, 1st chair alto saxophone

• Miley Cassio, 3rd chair alto saxophone

• Aliyah Conn, 2nd chair oboe

• Brett Fancher, 8th chair trumpet

• Samantha Foran, 1st chair flute 

• Gabriel Lal, 12th chair trumpet

• Glenn Leevy, 8th chair percussion

• Hudson Marks, 10th chair trumpet

• Eric Miramontes, 3rd chair trombone

• Ricky Rodriguez, 9th chair clarinet 

• Zoe Royal, 12th chair clarinet

• Skya Schweitzer, 3rd chair French horn

• Dex Swiger, 11th chair clarinet 

The region concert will be Friday, Dec. 2 at Kennedale High School.
