Eighteen Godley Middle School seventh and eighth graders were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society during an evening ceremony on April 9, 2024.

The students joining NJHS are:  

  • 8th Grade:  Layla Balderas, Ryleigh Hillis, Tucker Holzhheuser, Connor Marks, Hudson Marks, Gabriella Ware

  • 7th Grade:  Carolleigh Abbott, Bailey Brannum, Eli Dickson, Hayden Flood, Jordyn Hutt, Charlee Anne Lowery, Leighton Murphy, Caylee Price, Kinley Simmons, Briggs Thompson, Jessye Tout, Reagan Wood

Founded in 1929, the NJHS is a worldwide organization that recognizes and encourages academic achievement while developing other characteristics essential to citizens in a democracy.  Students are evaluated by the five values of citizenship, service, leadership, scholarship and character.  They must maintain high grades and become good citizens through participation in service projects.

Opening the ceremony was NJHS president Campbell Armstrong.

NJHS sponsor is Kristin Armstrong.
