Godley Middle School seventh graders were building “brain hats” in science classes on September 4, 2024.

Science teacher Rebecca Dooley led the engaging activity with students first learning vocabulary of different parts of the human brain and its hemispheres and understanding what body systems are controlled by areas such as the cerebellum, frontal lobe and sensory cortex.

The lesson covers topics included in the grade-level curriculum.  In Texas, seventh graders learn a lot about matter and energy, force and motion, Earth and space, as well as organisms and environment.
