Godley Middle School cross country teams excelled at the Hico Bluebonnet Invitational on September 7, 2022, at the Bluebonnet Country Club.

The eighth grade girls came home champions, with both seventh grade teams were runners-up.  The eighth grade boys placed third.

Both boys and girls squads competed in the 2400-meter contest which featured teams from a number of area junior high and middle schools.

Results were:

  • 8th Girls (1st):  Kenzie Riney (7th), Bailey Block (10th), Emma Lindamood, Cam Bellamy, Emma Stuck, Hayli Hernandez, Samantha Young
  • 7th Girls (2nd):  Grace McMullen (1st), Kennedy Black (4th), Ryleigh Hillis (5th), Dillon Ackridge, Aaryn Long, Bethany Alvarado, Layla Baderas
  • 8th Boys (3rd):  Cy Tennery (6th), Giovani Molina, Brayden Brantley, Joel Terrones, Colton White, Jett Price, Mark Elizaldi, Colin Curlee, Brett Fancher
  • 7th Boys (2nd):  Jonah Wood (2nd), Landon Bell (5th), Jaxon Hill, Coby Ball, Avery Arriaga, Ryker Dishman, Jace Gazsaugh, Eric Miramontes, Graham McMullen, Frankie Garcia, Easton Wade, Bear Riley, Brandon Teal

Godley cross country coaches are Keith McFarland for the girls and Jason Hill for the boys.
