Godley Middle School students showed their appreciation for the sacrifices of U.S. armed forces veterans during presentations throughout the school on November 10, 2023.

For the Veterans Day programs, students heard from a number of veterans who talked about their service in branches of the military.  Speakers represented the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps.

The lineup of speakers included veterans Gary Clark, Rick Dailey, Carlos Figueroa, Jeff Olesko, Michael Ray Steele and Gerson Tocgonzalez.  Also presenting was Roger Lawson, a retired Marine who now teaches technology applications at GMS.

Pictured is Lt. Col. Jim Davidson, who served in the Marine Corps and is currently the senior naval science instructor at Joshua High School.
