Godley ISD honored a child nutrition worker through the Safe Employee Recognition Campaign for the 2024-25 school year.
Recognized with the safety award was Martiza Alvarez, who works at Godley Middle School.
The SERC, organized by the Public Workers’ Compensation Program, honored employees for safe behaviors, such as helping others avoid injury, consistently reminding others of safe practice, routinely wearing proper safety protective equipment and reminding others, and making others aware of hazards.
“Maritza really goes above and beyond to promote a safe work environment and to provide a great example for their colleagues,” commented Assistant Superintendent Jason Karnes.
Child nutrition worker Maritza Alvarez also received the award and will be honored at a later date.
