Godley Independent School District - Empowering Students

Logo Title

Three Godley ISD students were in a group from Chapelhouse Studios competing at the Junior Theater Festival on February 9-11, 2024, in Sacramento, California.

Ivey Farley, a fifth grader at Pleasant View Elementary School, won honors as an outstanding performer for the Chapelhouse program from the musical Junie B. Jones JR featuring Farley in the title role.  The group also won an acting excellence award.

For the adjudication, the students performed a 15-minute cut of the musical.  Groups are rated in key areas of music, acting, dance, and overall performance. Adjudicators offer constructive criticism to encourage further learning and growth.

Farley also performed the National Anthem with a Chapelhouse trio to kick off the festival’s opening session.

Other GISD students in the troupe were fourth graders Lake Farley from Pleasant View and Lochlynn McLeod from Legacy Elementary School.
