Godley High School’s Wildcat Dramatics thrilled audiences with the fall play “Suite Surrender” on November 18-19, 2024, in the Godley Middle School theater arts room.
The play was written by Michael McKeever.
According to licensing partners, “It's 1942, and two of Hollywood's biggest divas have descended upon the luxurious Palm Beach Royale Hotel -- assistants, luggage, and legendary feud with one another in tow. Everything seems to be in order for their wartime performance...that is, until they are somehow assigned to the same suite. Mistaken identities, overblown egos, double entendres, and a lap dog named Mr. Boodles round out this hilarious riot of a love note to the classic farces of the 30s and 40s.”
The cast included Mya Arevalo, Lathyn Ashley, Landon Brady, Jonathan Castellom, Chloe Coggin, Calix Dziensinski, Nevaeh Guinn, Ryder Hardin, Bobby Head, Noah Knepper, Somara McDonald, Bella Salmaron, Isaac Tello and Ruby Villegas.
The stage play was under the direction of GHS theater teacher Christine DuBose.
Stage manager Jessi Merritt was in charge of sound, while John Gillard supervised lights.
