
Thirty-nine Godley High School students were inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society on February 23, 2026.
Inductees are Carolleigh Abbott, Sydnee Applegate, Kennedy Black, Kai Bunch, Kira Cutway, Zaylee Deponte, Brett Fancher, Hayden Flood, Kaylee Hand, Mackenzie Hayes, Presley Hindash, Elizabeth Hulsey, Jordyn Hutt, Logan Karr, Madelynn Kebodeaux, Avery Kotch, Gisele Krueger-Jaime, Madison Leonhardt, Hayzel Little, Barret Lynch, Mikhail McGlothen, Jaden Miller, Aileen Morales, Bethzil Morales, Liliana Olalde, Savannah Ortega, Saylor Pahanish, Caylee Price, Daniela Reyes Quintana, Easton Skinner, Kinley Simmons, Zane Simmons, Jordan Tawwatters, Lucas Tarwater, Mason Vallejo, Gabriella Ware, Charlie Witherspoon, Reagan Wood and Alison Zamarripa.
Chapter officers are President Alejandro Garcia-Robles, Vice President Danica Renken and Secretary/Treasurer Isaac Christensen.
The honor society, which recognizes high school students enrolled in Spanish or Portuguese, is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Organized in 1953 as the Spanish National Honor Society, the organization changed its name to Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica in 1959. Students must demonstrate high academic achievement in their language studies to qualify.
